Prague or Praha if your Czech was amazing! It's hard to put into words what I saw there. The Czech Republic is a post-communist country since 1991. They are the most successful post-communist country; having only 2% unemployment. It was crazy to drive by apartments that were made from the communist party for people. The city itself was rich in history. Many people knew German, because it was once part of the Hapsburg Empire (Vienna's Royal Family). So it makes sense that we went to a city that Vienna owned in the 1800's. We walked by a hospital that was built in the 1300's and Charles University; it is the oldest university in Europe.
While we were there, a couple of us stumbled upon an anarchy parade! It was crazier than Bonnaroo! It was mostly people my age dancing to techno/rave music. It was just a huge party in the streets, I don't really know the point in it because most people in it never even remembered what life was like in a communist country, much less an anarchic country.
We also saw an old fashioned music festival. It was interesting to see the uniforms and outfits people used to where.
The Czech Republic is also where Bohemia style came from. Bohemia is an area on the border of the Czech Republic.
